Champing™ – a unique opportunity to stay somewhere truly extraordinary
The Churches Conservation Trust has done some pretty cool stuff before, but making Champing™ into an actual Thing has to take even the biscuitiest of biscuits.
We have surprised and delighted people all over the world with a very simple idea: a new use for beautiful ancient churches. Why is it so popular? That’s easy:
It genuinely hasn’t been done before (apart from a few weary pilgrims. And monks and a tired vicar or two, probably).
Where else are you able to snuggle down in a truly ancient space that has not changed much for hundreds (and hundreds) of years?
You get the church all to yourself. Pulpits to poke about in, organs to play and so many options for church hide-and-seek – it’s all yours.
There’s no need to worry about the British weather; it will always be dry and tranquil, with more lofty space and light than you can shake a stick at.
Our prices don’t change during the school holidays, children and dogs are always welcome.
Our Champing™ carbon footprint is tiny- this is sustainable tourism at its greenest.
